In the construction of my music video, I used the programme adobe premier elements 12 to edit the video. This was a really useful tool as you could edit the video basically in anyway that you wanted to. I used the programme to change the col, ours and tones of the video as well as speeding up and slowing down clips.
Even
though I had played the music when filming for the artist to sing to to keep in
time, this did not work out as planned and in some of the clips she was
slightly out with the lip sync. I used the programme to therefore speed up and
slow down the clips to match the background music. I found this really easy to
do and it made the video very rewalistic as it looks like she is actually
singing the words.
I
also used the programme to layer clips on top of each other like the image
above. I thought that this would be really effective in portrayig the
protagonists story and add another dynamic to the music video. However, it did take a long time to edit the clips due to the whole video having to be rendered when you changed a specific scene. This was to ensure the quality of the clip was maintained. However, this was only a minor detail and overall I thought that the programme was very effective and I enjoyed using it even if it did have a few minus points.
Prezi
I have used software on the internet called Prezi. It is a
better solution to power point and makes the audience become more interactive
with the work that I have produced. I like this as it easy to use and develop
points in the software.
You can choose a template, in which there is a large range
and you can also create your own presentation. I have done both and been very
pleased with the result. Also it makes the presentation seem more fun to read
as the information is displayed on the screen is broke up to make it easier to
digest. This is good as it means that I can still keep the audience interested
with the same amount of information on the page.
Also you can choose the path in which the audience takes through
the presentation. This is good as it means that you can select the key
information that you want the audience to read quickly and efficiently.
However, sometimes the software can be slow to load and be a
little bit tricky to operate. This took a little bit of time to get over as I had
to learn to get the best out of the software and this did take some time where I
could have been doing the video, but it has good results and therefore was worth
it in those respects. I think also some of the bad point was the way the software
operates, it is difficult for me to navigate through tit as some of the features
I feel were hidden away slightly, but this was ok once you had found all of the
features.
